Robert M. Snyder got interested in the game of chess at the age of twelve. In 1973 he became the champion of the Western United States after the title of National Chess Master was his by the time he was 18.
He founded the "Chess For Juniors" club in 1983, where he teaches his young students chess and takes them to almost all National Junior High School Championships.
Robert M. Snyder is the author of many bestselling chess books such as Chess for Juniors, Unbeatable Chess Lessons for Juniors and also is the author of many articles in various chess magazines such as "School Mates" and "Chess Life".
